Proud Mom Moment: Celebrating My Daughter and the Amazing OCC Class of 2026
Last night was one of those unforgettable moments every parent hopes for. Sitting inside the RWJBarnabas Health Arena in Toms River, surrounded by proud families, cheering friends, and excited graduates, I watched my daughter Abby become part of the Ocean County College Class of 2026.

The 59th Annual Commencement Ceremony was beautiful from beginning to end. There were smiles, tears, applause, and so much excitement filling the arena as students celebrated years of dedication and hard work.
For me, though, this night was deeply personal. Watching my girl walk across that stage was one of the proudest moments of my life and hers.
A Night Of Celebration At OCC
Ocean County College held two graduation ceremonies yesterday, Thursday, May 21st, 2026. The 4:00 p.m. ceremony celebrated high school students earning degrees along with graduates receiving their Associate in Applied Science and Associate in Arts degrees.
The 7:00 p.m. ceremony honored students earning their Associate in Science degree.
Every graduate had their own story, their own journey, and their own dreams for the future. It was inspiring to see so many students reaching such an important milestone surrounded by the people who supported them along the way.
Abby’s Incredible Experience At Ocean County College
Abby truly loved her time at OCC.
She became involved in many clubs, met wonderful people, and found experiences that helped shape her future goals. College is not only about classes and grades. It is also about discovering passions, building confidence, and figuring out the path ahead.
For Abby, OCC helped her get closer and closer to her dream of earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, and Marketing.
As a parent, there is something incredibly rewarding about watching your child grow into the person they are meant to become. Ocean County College gave Abby opportunities to learn, connect, and prepare for the next exciting chapter of her life.
Congratulations To The Class Of 2026
To every graduate who crossed the stage Thursday night, congratulations.
The Class of 2026 should be so proud of everything they accomplished. The late nights studying, balancing responsibilities, overcoming challenges, and staying determined all led to this moment.
Graduation is more than receiving a diploma. It is the beginning of something new.
Last night was filled with hope, excitement, and dreams for the future, and I know these graduates are heading toward amazing things.
