NJ’s Governor Elect Sherrill’s Inaugural Ball Will Be Held At The American Dream Complex
According to information from Rutgers University, the idea of throwing a formal inaugural ball for a new New Jersey governor really didn’t become a thing until the late 20th century.

One of the earliest well-documented examples was in 1994, when Governor Christine Todd Whitman was sworn in and celebrated with an inaugural ball. Before that, governors were inaugurated without much evidence of big, public gala-style events like the ones we’re used to seeing today.
The latest Inaugural Ball here in the Garden State will take place on Tuesday, January 20th, and it is going to be a big party at the American Dream Complex in East Rutherford.
