National landmarks are always high on the "must-visit" list when it comes to traveling around the United States. Each of our 50 states has its own unique and iconic landmarks and is a great place to travel and even learn about our great nation. Liberty State Park is located right on the Hudson in Jersey City and is easy to access from anywhere in the state. You will also see the New York City skyline to the east as you look out and see Lady Liberty and also Ellis Island, both of which you can visit by boat. It makes for an ideal day trip here in the Garden State and I am glad we did it.

Wealth of Geeks had this to say of Liberty State Park "You can experience the innovative spirit and historical significance of the state all in one New Jersey landmark.  Millions of people a year come to this waterfront park to take in stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, visit the state-of-the-art Liberty Science Center and the biggest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere, and catch ferries to The Statue of Liberty. Locals also love it for its hiking, biking trails, picnic areas, and performance spaces."
