⚾️ Brookdale Community College baseball sweeps doubleheader

⚾️ Jersey Blues use power and pitching to defeat Atlantic Cape Community College

⚾️ Playoffs coming up for both teams in New Jersey

In a Sunday afternoon doubleheader at Surf Stadium in Atlantic City it was the visiting Brookdale Community College Jersey Blues baseball team who took both games with playoffs on the horizon.

Robert Salvatore of Cranford, New Jersey dominated in Game 1 of the doubleheader sweep over the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers pitching a complete game 7-innings and allowing just 1 run on 3 hits.

Ryan Lasko of Wall Township shutout the Bucs in Game 2 pitching a complete game 7-innings and holding ACCC to just 3 hits and only once in that game did an ACCC player reach third base.

On the offensive front, the Jersey Blues used power and timely hitting in key situations to win 5-1 and 5-0 on Sunday.

Darius Troche, the Catcher from Shillington, PA, hit a solo homerun off the scoreboard in Left-Center in the 2nd inning of Game 1.

John Wade of Brick Township, who was the DH in both games, hit a homerun well beyond the Left-Field wall in the Top of the 7th inning of Game 1.

Christian Bauman of West Long Branch, an outfielder, slugged a homerun to right field in the 2nd inning of Game 2.

I did the Play By Play for BFA Live Sports Productions on some great baseball games with power and pitching in the spotlight.
