🏈 Shore Conference Athletes shine in Elite 7v7 Football Tournament in Jackson

🏈 The event put on by Nico Steriti and his team allowed players to showcase skills

🏈 There is an upcoming Elite 7v7 Football Tournament set for July

The Elite 7v7 Football Tournament in Jackson last weekend was absolutely fantastic and full of very talented Shore Conference football players showcasing their skills and abilities.

It was the ultimate showcasing of talent with student-athletes from high schools like Toms River North and East, Brick Memorial, Brick, Lakewood, Barnegat, Red Bank Catholic, Howell, Central Regional, Manalapan, Ocean Township, and Colts Neck playing great football.

There were six teams competing over the course of two days at the Jackson AYF complex comprised of talented Shore Conference athletes through 1-on-1 drills and then a series of 20-minute games.

Each and every player had the chance to show what they have in their skillset. There were touchdowns and interceptions, amazing one-handed catches and exceptional speed, and so much more. I was blessed with the opportunity to do the PA announcing.

The player who stood out the most was the Todd Walker MVP of the Elite 7v7 Football Tournament and that's Jason Lajara of Brick Memorial High School for his play on the field and his character in between plays and on the sidelines, his willingness to learn and grow, and how he handled himself over the weekend.

There's a 3rd edition of the Elite 7v7 Football Tournament coming up on Saturday July 8 at Kean University.

For a full recap on the Jackson tournament and preview of the Kean University tournament, Nico Steriti joined me on Shore Sports Talk on 94.3 The Point, sponsored by Shoreline Wealth Management, on Sunday morning.
