Hey, New Jersey Did You Check Your New Netflix Bill?
Your Netflix Subscription is About to Increase
Do you have a Netflix subscription? If you do, you are not alone. According to Statista, "As of the fourth quarter of 2024, Netflix had over 300 million paid subscribers worldwide. This was a record-breaking quarter for the streaming service." That's pretty impressive, and let's face it, how many of you watch a Netflix movie every weekend? It's a hugely popular entertainment venue not only here in America but around the world.

So now we know that many of you pay for Netflix. Now, let's see how much more you are going to pay for the service with the new increases coming up for your Netflix subscription.
According to The Digest Online (New Jersey Digest), "Netflix is increasing subscription prices across most plans in the United States, Canada, Portugal, and Argentina, according to its latest earnings report.
- The ad-supported tier will rise from $6.99 to $7.99 monthly
- The standard ad-free plan will jump from $15.49 to $17.99.
- The premium tier is also seeing a two-dollar increase, moving from $22.99 to $24.99.
The new rates will take effect during subscribers’ next billing cycles."
It won't break the bank, but in these economic times, any increase is simply an increase and more money out of your pocket. Is approximately $25 a year too much for you to keep Netflix? Time will tell. I must admit we do enjoy Netflix a lot.
The Digest Online added, "A Netflix spokesperson cited the price adjustments as a way to enhance content offerings and maintain the platform’s value. This marks the first price hike for the ad-supported tier since its 2022 debut."
