If I promoted every type of fundraiser sent to me seeking support it would not leave time for anything else.  Most of them are not easy to ignore and every once in a while one comes in which you want to draw attention to because it hits close to home.

I’ve known Lynne Szablewski for about 30 years going back to when her younger brother Rob played for the youth soccer team I coached in Beachwood (Pythons). She graduated from Toms River South and returned to her alma mater as a math teacher while also holding down a second job as a manager at the Roy Rogers in Pine Beach.  Both she and her husband Steve Morey have always worked two jobs to support and raise 8 children who are between the ages of 13-27.

Lynne was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer which has also spread to her lungs.  This was discovered just a couple of months ago during her first mammogram which you can imagine was a shock to her family.  She has had to take medical leave from both jobs to fight the cancer and worse she has run out of sick days from the school district and is now responsible for much of her medical coverage.

Costly treatments will start soon and her younger brother has set up a GoFundMe account so friends, co-workers and others can help the 43-year old in what will be an intense fight against this dreaded disease.  You can too by visiting https://gofund.me/e8083e0c.  Help Lynne Szablewski kick cancer out the door in 2024!
