Former Class I Police Officer in Brick, NJ charged with child porn possession, prosecutor says

A now former part-time Class I Special Police Officer in Brick Township was arrested on charges related to an investigation into the uploading of child porn to the internet.
John Kisch, 57, of Brick Township is accused of uploading the child porn to the internet and when investigators executed a search warrant at his home Tuesday, they allegedly found more than 100 images on his desktop computer, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.
There was a tip that came into the OCPO from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force who heard from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about the illicit activity.
The OCPO High Tech Crime Unit uncovered the IP address and it brought them to the home they along with U.S. DHS-Newark, and the NJSP-ICAC Task Force searched and found the lewd images.
Detectives then seized the desktop computer following the search and that's where they learned how many images are allegedly on there.
Kisch was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and brought to the Ocean County Jail, where remains pending a detention hearing.
Brick Township Business Administrator Joanne Bergin issued a statement on Wednesday announcing that Kisch no longer works for the town.
“Upon being notified of the charges against John Kisch yesterday, we immediately terminated his part-time employment with the Township of Brick. These crimes are among the most reprehensible someone can commit as they affect innocent and vulnerable children. We have – and will – continue to hold Brick Township employees to the highest standards. If convicted of these charges, the Township fully supports prosecution to the fullest extent of the law."
“Kisch is alleged to have possessed images of child pornography, every image is a risk to further victimize those being depicted,” Homeland Security Investigations Newark Special Agent in Charge Ricky J. Patel, said in a separate written statement. “HSI special agents and our partners with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police will continue to bring to justice those that are engaged in any activity involving the exploitation of our innocent children.”
“We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to protect the most vulnerable among us. Children are most deserving of our unwavering commitment to investigating and prosecuting these types of offenses,” Prosecutor Billhimer said in a written statement.
