How did we get to this answer? To be classified as a fruit, the delicious thing we're eating must contain a seed and develop from the flower of a plant. When you think of plums, apples, grapes, and more the seeds and pits in the middle - these are fruits.

The leaves of the plants, stems, and roots are vegetables. Think spinach (leaves), celery (stems), and carrots (roots).

When we think about eating fruits and vegetables, we know fruit is the sweeter taste than the taste of vegetables.

Thanks to, "Avocados develop from a flower, so from a botanical perspective, they are considered fruits. The small greenish flowers grow on trees in their native Mexico and other warm climates. However, despite fitting all the requirements for a fruit, avocados are more often treated as vegetables in terms of how we eat them.
