A new study by maritime and resort injury law firm Lipcon, Margulies & Winkleman, P.A., ranked Asbury Park #3 among the safest U.S. summer destinations for 2025. The report scored dozens of locations using CDC and Coast Guard data on drowning deaths, non-traffic injuries, alcohol-related fatalities, boating accidents, and heat risk, revealing where travel and tragedy most often collide, and where travelers can enjoy a more worry-free getaway.
Asbury Park is an iconic spot along the Jersey Shore, and it's a place so many have visited during the summer and year-round and the entertainment, restaurants, hotels, and beaches continue to offer so much to experience not only during summer but throughout the year.

The destination leads the entire country in recreational drowning safety (#1, score 1) and ranks #2 for alcohol-related fatality prevention (score 2).
