There is not enough time for me to list all of the philanthropic efforts Dave Wintrode has taken part in either by himself or though his Causeway Family of Dealerships which proudly occupy a big part of Route 72 in Manahawkin, going back to when there was not too much on the roadway.  Causeway has become linked to charity because they do so much for the community through their Ford, Lincoln, Honda, Hyundai and Nissan dealerships.

That led to the creation of Causeway CARes, which offers resources and support to local non-profits throughout Ocean County.  Funded by The Wintrode Family Foundation the goal is to offer support, compassion, time and resources for a variety of community members and partners in need.

That takes us to the 6th Annual Causeway CARes 5K run and walk which will originate from Southern Regional High School on Sunday, October 8th.  The first five of these has raised more than $145,000 and will again help fight issues of homelessness, food insecurity, education and the needs of seniors and veterans with all proceeds donated to various non-profits.
