When most people think of New Jersey, the word peaceful does not come to mind, but we may be selling ourselves short.

On several social media outlets and my radio show, I asked people to name the most peaceful place they could think of in New Jersey, and there are plenty of answers that make perfect sense.

There is no doubt that these serene spots have a lot to make up for since there are so many places in New Jersey where there is a shortage of peacefulness and relaxation.

Garden State Parkway - When was the last time you were on it and didn't get stressed? I don't blame the road, I blame all the other drivers.

Work - It doesn't matter where you work or what you do, there always seems to be more pressure in the Garden State.

Cash Register - Whether it's bills, prices for everyday goods or taxes, it seems New Jersey always pays more for everything, and there is no bigger stress than that.

Those are some of the things that stress us out, but it's time to reveal the places in New Jersey where we find some peace and tranquility.
