There has been a lot of talk about UFOs’ these days. Even the U.S. government admits they can’t explain all of the reported sightings, and here in New Jersey, we are home to one of the most credible UFO sightings ever.

This Garden State sighting was not a quick glimpse by a confused witness. This was a sighting that involved some well-respected people over several days in Wanaque.

Among the witnesses to this unexplained spectacle in 1966 was the mayor of the town, as well as hundreds of residents who saw the strange, glowing object during its appearance in January, and then again in October, according to Only In Your State.

The object, seen over the Wanaque Reservoir, was described as a strange bobbing and glowing light, and nearly 60 years later, no one has an explanation. The series of sightings in Wanaque has been called one of the most credible sightings in history.

It may surprise you that New Jersey is actually considered a hot spot of UFO activity in the nation. In recent years, UAP has become the preferred acronym, standing for Unexplained Aerial Phenomenon, which would lead one to believe it’s not necessarily an object, and it’s not necessarily flying.

But I would imagine that many who saw the Wanaque incident would say that it was an object and it was flying, no matter what you call it.

Recent data does not list New Jersey among the top 10 states for sightings, but keep looking toward the sky, you never know.
