For example, the other week I was driving down 37 headed into the radio station, and drove past the Crystal Diner.

It had a big blue sign draped over the top of it that said "Coming Soon: Gal."

It turns out that the Crystal Diner is no longer open, and it'll reopen as Gal Mediterranean sometime in the near future.

The Roadside Suddenly Closed In Will, NJ

The Roadside is an iconic diner that sits off Route 33-34 in Wall.

It's iconic because it has the same classic stainless steel look now that it did when it first opened in the 40s, and has been seen in Bruce Springsteen music videos, as well as on the cover of Bon Jovi's 1994 album Cross Roads.

The diner suddenly closed back in March, however, new life is getting ready to be breathed into the classic eatery.

The Roadside Diner In Wall, NJ, Will Be Reopened By Summer 2025

The new owner, Nicolas Kallas, co-owns the diner with his wife, and according to APP, they are working diligently to make sure this classic diner is reopened and ready to serve the community by Memorial Day.

They aren't changing too much either.

Kallas and his wife are trying to maintain the same vintage look and vibe that locals have come to love about the diner.

They will be updating some of the kitchen equipment, though, to bring the diner into the 21st century.
