Toms River is just days away from getting a new bagel shop, and I couldn't be more excited.
I'll be honest with you, before moving to Jersey, I never really understood people's infatuation with bagels.

They're just donuts, without all the fun flavors and sweetness.
Then I started eating real Jersey bagels, and oh my, how I was wrong.
Where To Get Some Of The Best Bagels In New Jersey
When you get a hot, fresh, Jersey bagel, it's almost like a religious experience, and if it's a really good bagel, you don't even need to worry about any smears or creams.
Places like Baron's Bagels in Brick, ABC Bagels, and Rosmeary's Artisanal Bagels in Jackson are all places that have changed my thoughts on bagels.
My hands-down favorite bagel, though, is a Ricky Bagel.
I met Ricky about a year and a half ago, when my band Right On! was playing at Beachcomber.

He supplies bagels for shops all over the Shore, and runs Bakin' Bagel in Ortley, Lavallette, and Beachwood.
And now, Ricky Bagel is opening a new location in Toms River off 37, right near Holiday City.
I actually wrote about the new location a few months ago, but now, we are just days away from what should be a delicious grand opening!

According to the Ricky Bagel social media page, they're just waiting on final inspections from Toms River and hope to have them ready to go in the next few days.

Soon to be located at 1071 N-37 in Toms River, I kid you not, these are some of the best bagels you'll ever have.
