If You Drive A Ram Truck In New Jersey, It May Have Just Been Recalled
Recalls seem to be more and more common, and although it's not something we want to see happening it is good to see that a company admits there is a problem, and then goes ahead and works to fix the issue.
For example, when Mazda had to issue a recall on 77 thousand vehicles, they immediately did everything they needed to do to make consumers aware.
More on the Mazda recall here.
Now it appears as though another major car brand is on the recall train after an issue was found that could cause serious issues while drivers are out on the road.
Ram Recalls 30 Thousand Vehicles Nationwide
There's nothing quite like the fun and excitement of driving a big pick-up truck, at least that's just my opinion.
But you do want to make sure the truck that you are driving is safe, right?
Ram has recalled 30 thousand of the 1500 models due to some serious safety concerns according to NJ.com
Some trucks have an issue where the speed wheel sensor doesn't function properly, which could result in crashes while on the road.
A speed wheel sensor does what it sounds like it would; it detects the speed of the vehicle and then reports that speed to the vehicle's computer system, and when that doesn't work properly it can cause your speedometer to stop working correctly.
If you bought a Ram 1500 between October 13th of 2023 and August 11th of 2024 then your truck is likely part of this recall and Ram is urging owners to take their vehicle to a garage for repairs.
If you have already noticed this issue and paid out of your own pocket to have it fixed, you are entitled to reimbursement.
