
Cape May County Zoo’s Beloved Otter Mork Dies After 17 Years
Once again, New Jersey is mourning the loss of a beloved zoo friend, and this one really hits hard.
Especially when it's an animal that brought joy into so many people's lives during its long life.

Mork The Otter Passed Away At The Cape May County Zoo
According to social media, it appears as though Mork the Otter has passed away, after many years of bringing joy to those who visited the Cape May County Zoo.
The Cape May County Zoo was a staple when I was a kid. In the summer, when we'd go to my grandparents' house in Sea Isle City for a few weeks, we'd end up at the Cape May County Zoo at least once or twice to walk around for a day.
Mork the Otter had been a staple at the zoo since 2013, and was beloved by both guests and zoo staff alike.

According to reports, Mork the Otter suffered from a seizure-like event, which was caused by an enlarged heart.

The zoo did all it could to save the adorable otter, but sadly, Mork the Otter passed away on May 4th.
There's something about the whimsy otters have that always makes them one of people's favorite exhibits to visit while at the zoo.
