This North Jersey Chicken Parm Is Going Viral — But There’s No Red Sauce, So Is It Really Chicken Parm?

I saw this new chicken parm spot blowing up on Instagram this week, and I'm curious to get your thoughts on it, becase all though I can admit the dish looks amazingly delicious, I'm not too sure I'd actually consider what they're serving to be chicken parm. Even though that's what they're calling it.

While scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon this place called Spinachio Pizza, located in North Haledon, and the food looked so good it made me want to make the hour-and-a-half trip up there to give it a try. However, I'm not sure what they're calling chicken parm is actually chicken parm.

What Is The Definition Of Chicken Parm?

By definition, chicken parm is a fried chicken breast smothered in tomato sauce and mozzarella and parmesan cheese. The Chicken Parm that Spinachio's is serving up doesn't really meet that definition... but it still looks pretty good.

There's a lot going on here, I know, but that creamy, tasty-looking creation is the newest chicken parm dish, and it's going viral, with this video racking up tons of views online.

I'm super interested in getting up to Spinachio's and giving this a try, but again, I ask you whether we really consider this chicken parm if it doesn't have the red sauce? According to my dad, who's a chicken parm fiend, it does not.
