Move Over, Jersey Devil: Is Bigfoot Roaming the Pine Barrens?
So apparently, the Jersey Devil isn't the only thing we have to be concerned about when it comes to what's hiding inside the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. I was scrolling through TikTok the other day and was floored when I saw someone post a video (see below) of a creature they claimed was Bigfoot walking around a part of the Pine Barrens right here in Ocean County!
What Is Bigfoot?
In my opinion, campfire lore. However, other people think Bigfoot is something like the missing link: part human, part animal, and the link between what humans were before we became what we are today. I'm a skeptic when it comes to Bigfoot, so I think it's more likely just someone seeing a bear standing on its hind legs.
Where In Ocean County, NJ, Was There A Bigfoot Sighting?
According to the TikTok account Clive Steadman, a Bigfoot was recently spotted in Lacey Township!
Honestly, the comment section is my favorite part of this video; one commentator said, "So Bigfoot's been in Ocean County this whole time? Wait till the Jersey Devil Finds Out!" Another comment that made me chuckle was from a user who said, "That's not Bigfoot, that's my mother-in-law!"
Does Bigfoot Really Live In The Pine Barrens Of New Jersey?
I mean, maybe? Look, Bigfoot is like the Lochness Monster... you can't prove it doesn't exist because there's enough proof outside of some grainy photos and some stories.
If Bigfoot is living in Ocean County, hopefully he has a taste for Pork Roll.
