Jackson Memorial falls to Cherokee 54-39 in Group 4 semi-final

Cherokee, the SJ Group 4 champs, came out of the gates on fire from the field and never looked back, defeating CJ Group 4 champs Jackson Memorial 54-39.  Cherokee moves on to play Bayonne, The North Jersey Group 4 champ, Saturday at the RWJ Barnabas Arena in Toms River.
Jackson was never able to recover from the early onslaught by Cherokee, but the Jags did cut a 22 point lead down to 8 in the 4th.  Foul trouble got the best of the Jags at the end, as their 3 seniors, Zoie Maffei, Chloe Messer, and Kamile Makselyte, all fouled out toward the end of the game.
The Jags finish off an excellent year at 21-10 and won the CJ Group 4 Championship.
