And despite the fact that it's so expensive, reports are that taxes there are low, but that shouldn't be a surprise, because. this town has very few services. As a matter of fact, they don't even have mail delivery.

So what town tops the most expensive list in New Jersey, boasting a median home list price of $4,167,988, according to Cheapism?. Here's the good news. It's not in Monmouth or Ocean Counties.

The town with that high price tag is Alpine in Bergen County. According to Investopedia, the median home sale price is $1.8 milllion dollars.
