Beloved Shore Ice Cream Shop to Close One Store

It's never any fun to hear news of a local business closing, but this one hurts a little deeper.

This one hurts my heart, and my tummy. I always remember visiting Hoffman's Ice Cream as a kid (their Reese's Cup and Coffie Oreo flavors are the key to my heart). It's just so delicious.

Now, not too long after closing its Little Silver shop, Hoffman's Ice Cream made a sad announcement - they're closing another location. APP spilled the news that Hoffman's Long Branch will be closing its doors this Sunday, after being open. The article said the message was taped to the store's door, and when I checked their website, it was also written there.

According to APP, there's no known reason for the Long Branch shop's closure yet, and I couldn't find one on Hoffman's website or Facebook page either. The message on their website reads:

To our valued customers,

AS OF SUNDAY, AUGUST 29TH, OUR LONG BRANCH STORE WILL BE CLOSING PERMANENTLY

Thank you for many years of loyalty and memories! Please visit us year round at one of our other locations! 800 Richmond Ave, Point Pleasant Beach or 569 Church Street, Spring Lake Heights

At least 2 Hoffman's locations will still remain open, including Ocean County's in Point Pleasant Beach. But, if you're in the mood for Hoffman's when you're in Long Branch, you only have 3 more days to get some.
