A recent report listed Princeton as the best place to live in New Jersey. I love Princeton, but here's why I think that honor should go to the Jersey Shore.

Let me start by saying that I'm a huge fan of all of New Jersey, so this is not a knock on any other towns or areas in the Garden State. It's simply an expression of my love for the Jersey Shore.

With all due respect to Princeton, which is an amazing place and the best place to live in the state according to Niche, I think the Jersey Shore is the place to live in the Garden State and here are a few reasons why.

Let's start with the obvious. We have some of the most amazing beaches and boardwalks in the world. Have you seen a sunrise over the ocean around here recently. It is simply on of the most amazing views you'll ever see anywhere.

Then let's talk about the food. The only way to enjoy a delicious fresh seafood dish is to eat that amazing meal overlooking the ocean, bay or river. Yes the food does taste better when it comes with that kind of view.

And of course you knew I'd talk about the people. Jersey Shore people are the most generous, caring people I've ever met and I'm proud to call them my neighbors and friends.

Many of the things I've said here are true about people in just about all towns in the Garden State, but I had to take a minute to stick up for my Jersey Shore!
