What a week it's been at the Jersey Shore and across the Garden State.

We wake up each and every morning to see that gas prices have risen, on average, 5-cents a gallon overnight.

Those prices keep rising as well and probably will for quite some time.

Many people are now trying to find alternate ways to get around that don't include driving and getting gas while others are trying to come up with ways to not use the car as often or save gas in any way that they can.

There was a financial-related crime involving a Howell Township resident this week, two major car accidents in Toms River and Lakewood respectively that are still under investigation as is why a South Toms River man was left for dead at Community Medical Center in Toms River.

These are just some of the news stories that made headlines this week in Ocean County, Monmouth County, and across the state of New Jersey this week.
