Here are the Jersey Shore Vote-By-Mail Ballot Drop Off Locations

The 2020 Election voting process is underway as residents are beginning to receive vote-by-mail ballots.

There are 17 drop off box locations in Monmouth County and 17 in Ocean County you can drive to and drop off your ballot and of course you can send back by mail as well.

“The drop off box location provides a secure and easily accessible receptacle for our voters who do not want to mail their ballot back in or travel to the Ocean County Board of Elections,” Ocean County Freeholder Gary Quinn, liaison to the Ocean County Clerk, said in a statement. “We have placed them throughout the County in strategic locations often frequented by our residents. These boxes are under 24 hour security surveillance monitored by the County."

“Regardless of the State mandated changes, it is essential to have your vote counted for the General Election,” Monmouth County Freeholder Lillian G. Burry, liaison to the Board of Elections, said in a separate statement. “On November 3, there will be limited in-person polling locations with only paper ballots available. Because of the State mandates, residents will need to utilize the 17 mail-in ballot drop boxes throughout the County to deposit your mail-in ballot.”

“This is the first time in our state’s history that a General Election will be conducted primarily by mail,” Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon said in a separate statement. “During a typical election in Monmouth County, a small percentage of voters have cast their votes by mail-in ballots. This year, due to the recent State mandate regarding universal mailing of ballots to all active registered voters, more than 450,000 ballots are being mailed out, and the vast majority of voters will cast their votes by mail. Preparing almost half a million mail-in ballot packets has been a challenging experience and I am grateful to the hard working employees of the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office and of all three County Election Offices during this unprecedented election process."
