A great way to oil your grills grid before using, Cut an onion in half, with a long fork spear it dip the cut side in vegetable oil, rub it all over the grill for added flavor.

A pot holder is NOT the same as a grilling mitt, invest in one

When cooking steaks use a tong, a fork will let the juices run out also only flip once

Most important when using charcoal always wait till it's ready. How do you know? When the coals are 80% ash grey, throwing food on it to soon will just burn it. Patience, you'll notice the difference.
