The Shore Sports Network and Monmouth University announced today that Saturday’s regular-season home finale against Gardner-Webb will be broadcast live on Beach Radio 1160 & 1310AM and streamed at shoresportsnetwork.com.

This is the only place that local fans can follow the live broadcast from Kessler Stadium which begins with the pre-game show at 11:45 a.m. as Eddy Occhipinti and Gary Kowal call the action. Kickoff is at noon.

The Shore Sports Network carries all the Monmouth road games but with interest at an all-time high will broadcast Saturday’s game between the Hawks (8-1) and Runnin’ Bulldogs (1-8). Coach Kevin Callahan’s squad has won six-in-a-row and moved up to #22 in the latest FCS Coaches Poll following last weekend’s win over Presbyterian.

Monmouth is tied with 23rd ranked Kennesaw State for first place in the Big South Conference and the teams are on a collision course to decide the championship when they meet in Kennesaw, Georgia on November 18.

Offensively the Hawks have been led by redshirt sophomore quarterback Kenji Bahar, who engineers an attack that averages 36.6 points per game. Freshman running back Pete Guerriero leads the conference in rushing and all-purpose yardage and was named Freshman of the Week on Monday. The defense is anchored by senior All-America candidate Mike Basile as the former Brick Memorial standout is the NCAA’s active leader in solo tackles.

Tickets remain for Saturday’s final home game and can be purchased by visiting MonmouthHawks.com/tickets.
