The drummer and co-writer of several of the late Buddy Holly's most famous tunes, including "Peggy Sue" - named for his future wife. JERRY ALLISON, turns 78 today. He also did some moonlighting as "Ivan" while a member of the Crickets. He is the only surviving member of the original group. See a rare live performance of "Oh, Boy" below.
