This is such a fantastic story, I had to share.

Covid-19 has changed so many things for us here in Monmouth and Ocean County and around the world, but one thing has stayed the same - Kind hearts and how can we help? This is fantastic, according to the patch.com, members of Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa from Monmouth County to Ocean County wanted to help in anyway they could when the pandemic started, they had a great idea.

Members of Hand & Stone Massage, throughout the coronavirus pandemic, donated thousands of vouchers for spa services all because members of the Hand & Stone asked if they could donate their "extra" memberships to our local heroes. They wanted first responders and front line workers to be able to unwind and relax for one hour. Here's the incredible part - Toms River-based Hand & Stone and Manalapan-based Hand & Stone have donated over 3,000 Gift Certificates.

Spa owners Nicholas Marco and Tara Bogota and Mike Masco, New Jersey regional developer of Hand & Stone in New Jersey have all been the amazing force behind this donating totaling over 3,000 1 hour massages and facials for frontline workers. All this kindness came the members and wanted to help out healthcare workers.

Mike Masco says, "At the beginning of the pandemic, I think we all felt the same way. We all felt helpless at the time. I can confidently say that we have well over 100 members that are nurses at various hospitals such as community in Toms River or Monmouth Medical or Jersey Shore Hospital. These are our members, and they're fighting on the front lines. So we just felt super helpless."

Currently, close to 2,500 gift cards have been donated from members in Howell and Old Bridge - with 100 gift cards set aside for workers at smaller urgent cares and emergency departments in and around Howell.

Just amazing, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa is doing great things from the members and owners working together to make this crazy time a little better for our heroes and everybody. "Thank you to everybody" for doing this. You have "giant" hearts.
