An attempt at arson by a man who tried to set Galloway Police headquarters on fire is in a heap of trouble when he's finally caught.

Police have released video of the suspect trying to light and then toss a glass bottle filled with an acceleratant at the lobby doors Tuesday night around 6:30 pm. It didn't ignite.

The suspect appears to have pondered his decision to cause an inferno before he tossed the fluid at the doors, with people still inside, and then ran towards Jimmie Leeds Road.

While the fluid spilled, nothing lit on fire and nobody was injured following the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid to late 20's, 5'7, pale and thin face, scruffy brown or ginger facial hair, wearing a brown or tan jacket with a checkered pattern, a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and dark pants.

Anyone who can identify the suspect in the video is asked to call
Lt. Joseph Picardi at 609-652-3705 extension 327.
