Everything seems so uncertain now with our New Year’s Eve plans but there is a chance to still celebrate with friends and family, and you won't have to travel far.  Even if your thing was to go to New York City to see the ball drop it looks like they are scaling back that celebration to roughly 15,000 people.

So what to do?

It's always great to stay local and support local.  A big event is about to kick off today at the Jersey Shore and it looks like this is going to be great for the entire family.

Most importantly, If you’re looking to avoid crowded parties, and still celebrate with friends and family, there’s a great event happening at Seaside Heights.

First Night Ocean County kicks off at noon today, the 31st with family fun on The Boardwalk.

According to their website and social media, you'll have a chance to jump right in with fun and entertainment for the entire family.  Cruise from arcade to arcade with a trackless train, see Rocky the Coca Cola Polar Bear, and experience something different that everyone can enjoy.

That's just skimming the surface of entertainment for today. You'll enjoy magic, music, superheroes, and so much more.

What's a New Year's Eve event without fireworks?  You'll see a spectacular light show beginning tonight at 5 pm.

I don't know about you but any excuse to go to the boardwalk is always welcomed.

How much do wristbands cost for First Night Seaside Heights?

It's $6 for Children and $10 for Adults

What about your New Year's Eve weather?

Once we get through this misty, foggy mess this morning, we are going to see cloudy skies and warmer temps.  Yes, we probably won't see the sun but the rain will definitely hold off for us and we could feel 50s out there.  Have a great, and Happy New Year!
