ERIN MORAN Dies at 56
In her pre-teen years, she was a regular on TV's Daktari. Then she played the daughter on the short-lived Don Rickles Show in 1972. However, the role of a lifetime came around in 1974 on Happy Days as Joanie Cunningham (aka "Shortcake") - a job that lasted for 10 years and over 200 episodes. There was even a short-lived spinoff called Joanie Loves Chachi. Sadly, after the long run, the real-life "Happy Days" were few in number, and a downward spiral began to spin out of control. Moran was only 56.
