An Egg Harbor man has been tied in connection to eight burglaries that have occurred over the last month in the township plus in Hamilton.

Egg Harbor Police said that their department along with Hamilton PD responded to reports of multiple burglaries and stolen motor vehicles between January 24 and February 7 and have been able to connect 22-year old Patrick Grenald to all of them, and charges are coming for allegedly committing those crimes.

A 2016 Chrysler Sedan was stolen on January 24 at English Creek Auto Plaza and the business owner told police that a black male was seen on surveillance video going into the business and going out with multiple vehicle keys he stole from an unlocked cabinet.

The sedan was later found in Egg Harbor Township.

The very next day, police went back to English Creek Auto Plaza as another vehicle was stolen, and the suspect had the same m.o., only this time he stole a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, which was later located in Egg Harbor Township, but with front end damage and deployed airbags.

Then on January 28, at 2:44 am, police responded to Fulton Bank on English Creek Avenue, for an activated burglar alarm.

Officers learned that someone entered through a window taken out on the north side of the building, and the power was cut which meant no video surveillance, but then nothing was reportedly stolen as nobody gained access to the bank’s vault.

A few days later, on February 4, someone broke into the Chick-Fil-A on the Black Horse Pike, and police responded to the activated burglar alarm.

Once on scene, they saw that the front door was open, but no suspects were located inside at that point, but when police followed up and spoke with management, they said that the surveillance video showed a black male force entry into the business, and then fleeing when the alarm sounded.

The very next day, February 5, police went back to English Creek Auto Plaza after another vehicle, a 2015 Nissan Ultima was stolen sometime overnight.

Police said the vehicle was being towed, for being unregistered and uninsured, after Patrick Grenald was stopped in Hamilton.

Later that same morning, while reviewing video surveillance and reporting the motor vehicle theft, Management of the English Creek Auto Plaza learned that the same male, later identified as Patrick Grenald, re-entered the business and stole another vehicle, a 2015 Chevy Malibu.

In Hamilton, later that day, police in that township responded to Bucktail Outfitters on Harding Highway in Mays Landing for a report of an attempted commercial Burglary.

Then, the very next day, on February 6, EHTPD took another trip to English Creek Auto Plaza after receiving a report of a black male in the process of stealing a vehicle, which police located and pulled over.

At that point, Patrick Grenald, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Eluding, and was then brought to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, from which he was released and then arrested the next day in Hamilton Township after committing several commercial burglaries at locations near the jail.
