The probe of a Tuesday-night house burglary in Monmouth's Ocean Township leads to a suspect whose last known address was in the community.

Richard Stridion, 56, is wanted in connection with the incident in the Oakhurst section, between Larchwood and Norwood Avenues.

He's described as black male, 5'10" in height, weighing about 170 pounds, with black hair that exhibits some greying.

Police said that an alarm summoned officers at about 10:20 PM. Officers, assisted a K-9 team, pieced together information pointing to Stridiron, police said.

Authorities did not describe any goods reported stolen or their value, nor did they elaborate on whether the house was occupied, locked or unlocked, or whether surveillance cameras operated in the vicinity.

Upon capture, Stridiron will face charges of burglary, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and attempted theft.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
