"What are we missing at the Jersey Shore?" is a question I hear asked very often.

Some of the most common answers are Wegmans or Trader Joe's....maybe a Barcade (an adult arcade with adult beverages)....

All of the answers listed above are true, but it has always felt these answers weren't quite what I was looking for.

After talking to a friend over the weekend, I finally figured it out: The Jersey Shore is missing a Carmine's!

In case you are not familiar, Carmine's is an Italian restaurant with five locations in major cities throughout the country.

Their food is delicious and it is all served family style so the amount of food you receive is MASSIVE...but I'm not complaining!

This tactic is perfect because each table orders a bunch of food and everyone gets to try a little bit of everything. And trust me, you will want to try a bit of everything when you eat at Carmine's.

I have only been lucky enough to hit up Carmine's ONCE and based on that visit...well...prepare yourself to loosen your belt by a few notches after you leave.

Here are the locations:

Times Square, New York City

Upper West Side, New York City

Atlantic City, New Jersey

Washington D.C.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Notice something?

That three of the five existing Carmine's locations are in major cities surrounding the Jersey Shore...but none are actually AT the Jersey Shore.

And it doesn't make sense. Think about it.

Both New York City and Atlantic City are cities known as tourist attractions so this restaurant is the perfect spot to hit up when you are looking to splurge while on a vacation or mini getaway.

Doesn't  the Jersey Shore fit into this category?

There are a lot of people who travel to the Jersey Shore as their vacation destination who would undoubtedly love to eat their faces off while enjoying a view of the beach, the bay or the boardwalk.

It is dressy so you can get yourself all dolled up and pretty - which I love to do while on vacation - and they have an impressive cocktail list.

When I went to Carmine's, I tried a blackberry mojito that was legit gone in seconds.

And it may not be the cheapest place you'll find but again, when is the best time to drop a few extra bucks on yourself? YEA....vacation!

I must ask: If enjoying some of the best veal parmigiana, baked clams, Zuppa di clams, salmon oreganata, porterhouse steak, penne Pomodoro and chocolate cannoli's waterside isn't heaven, what is?

So scream it loud and scream it proud!

CARMINE'S!!! It's time to find your next home and that is at the Jersey Shore!

Pretty please? I'll be your best friend.......

Please write in to Nicole.Murray@townsquaremedia.com if you agree. I will add it to this post...let's really get this movement going!

If you are not too familiar with Carmine's and what they are all about, visit their website and you will be hooked instantaneously.
