The Stafford man who was arrested with his mom on heroin charges May 3 in the township is also one of three defendants suspected of a rash of car burglaries in the Ocean Acres section of Manahawkin.

Christopher Triandafilou and Jeremiah Kramer, 23, of Tuckerton, are charged with burglary, conspiracy and theft, township police said.

Ryne Samler, 24, of Stafford, faces the same charges along with heroin possession and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Authorities did not disclose details of Samler's criminal record.

During the week-long probe, detectives spotted reported stolen items for sale by Kramer on social media sites, police said. They arranged to meet him under the pretense of buying some of the goods. Instead, they arrested him and seized some stolen items.

Investigators developed additional information pointing them to a Beach Lane house in the Ocean Acres section, where more stolen goods were recovered, along with two rifles and evidence implicating Samler and Triandafilou, police said.

Samler was ordered to be detained in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. Triandafilou and Kramer were released. Police said that all three will answer the charges in Ocean County Court, and that recovered items were returned to their owners.

They are still in search of a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 laptop, black and silver, serial number 045783144653; and a gray Samsung Galaxy 7 phone, serial number 351713084101.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
