A Galloway Township man kicked and kicked and wasn't able to get the door down on Magnolia Avenue Friday, but while he was making all the racket the homeowner dialed 911 and when he saw the caller, he fled before police caught up to him.

Around 4pm on Friday afternoon police responded to the residence in the 300 block of Magnolia Avenue on a report a man was trying to gain entry into the home.

Police combed the area and found 31-year old township resident Joseph Stansberry who continued running when he saw law enforcement and headed into a wooded area near the White Horse Pike and 4th Avenue.

K9 Sgt. Winneberger and K-9 Rocky caught up to Stansberry and took him into custody.

Stansberry is charged with attempted burglary, assault on a law enforcement officer,       two-counts of resisting arrest, obstruction, disorderly conduct, possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was then transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
