Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of late icon Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has died today at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia.
"She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months," the Brown family said in a statement given to ET.
Her death comes nearly six months after first being found unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31. According to the initial report of the incident, she was found by her husband and friend and reportedly “not breathing.”
She was then moved to North Fulton Hospital, where she was put on a ventilator and later placed into a medically induced coma.
In March, she was moved to a rehabilitation center. Her grandmother, Cissy Houston, would later reveal in a statement in April that Bobbi suffered "global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive."
By the end of June, Bobbi was moved into hospice care at Peachtree Christian Hospice after the family reportedly consulted with a brain specialist in Chicago.
“Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate. As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God’s hands now," the family said in a statement at the time.
Bobbi's death comes three years after her mother, Whitney Houston, was found dead in a bathtub. The coroner's report concluded that Houston died due to “drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.”
