Biker dies after hitting parked car in Somerset
FRANKLIN (Somerset) — A 63-year-old township man died Friday night after his motorcycle struck a parked car, police said.
Son A. McCalla was riding north on Hillcrest Avenue before 11:16 p.m. when he lost control of his 2001 Yamaha and hit the rear of a parked vehicle, police said.
Investigators are trying to find out why McCalla lost control.
He was unconscious and not breathing when authorities arrived on scene in response to a 911 call.
The accident left the street near Dutton Street and Hillcrest Elementary School closed for four hours.
