An investigation into the distribution of Heroin in the Berkeley area sent township police and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike force to the door of a Bayville man who is now in the Ocean County Jail.

Berkeley Township Police said Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant along with the OCPO-NSF on Tuesday on a unit within the Berkeley Gardens Apartment Complex on Frederick Drive.

Once inside the unit, detectives found more than five "bricks" of heroin, an undisclosed quantity of prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia, typically used for dealing drugs, including scales, wax paper, and more than $1,500 in cash.

Henry McKay, 37, of Bayville was promptly arrested and then charged with Possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 500 ft of a public housing complex, possession of heroin, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

He remains in the Ocean County Jail.
