This week marked the return of many of the National Football League's teams to training camp and with that return many teams have reached out to former Monmouth University players to workout in hopes to fill roster and camp spots.

Monmouth University (11-3) football’s historic season ended on Saturday, falling to second ranked James Madison (12-1) 66-21 in the second round of the FCS Playoffs.

The Hawks advance to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in their history while JMU is looking to start a run to their third national championship game in the last four years.

Monmouth University (11-2, 6-0 Big South) never trailed en route to a 44-27 win over Holy Cross (7-6, 5-1 Patriot League) on Saturday in the first round of the 2019 NCAA FCS Playoffs.

Monmouth University senior Kenji Bahar (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) and Head Coach Kevin Callahan were named Big South Offensive Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, league officials announced on Tuesday.

This is the third meeting between Monmouth and Hampton, with the Hawks winning each of the previous meetings.

Dominating the final three quarters, the #15 Monmouth University football team defeated Campbell, 47-10, to earn the 2019 Big South Championship and the league’s automatic bid to the FCS playoffs.

This is the second meeting between Campbell and Monmouth and the first trip for the Hawks to Barker-Lane Stadium.

Monmouth quarterback Kenji Bahar (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) threw five touchdown passes while the defense forced three turnovers in the Hawks’ (8-2) non-conference win over North Alabama (3-7) on Saturday.

This is the first all-time meeting between Monmouth and North Alabama, with the Hawks riding a five-game winning streak into the contest. The Lions are fresh off of a last second win over Campbell to earn their third victory of the season.

This is the sixth meeting between Charleston Southern and Monmouth, with the Hawks looking to even up the series record.

Monmouth University senior quarterback Kenji Bahar (Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall) became the school’s all-time passing leader as the Hawks improved to 6-2 (3-0 Big South) with a 35-13 win over Charleston Southern (2-6, 0-2 Big South) on Saturday night.
