I was born in an Italian neighborhood in South Philadelphia and went to Catholic school until the seventh grade when my parents moved us to South Jersey. We made frequent trips here to see family and of course to visit the shore. Wildwood and Atlantic City were our summer beach spots. After moving to Jersey and being the new kid, I figured it was easier to make friends if you made people laugh. That's when I got hooked on comedy. Working summers on a farm, I knew there had to be an easier way to make a living. It was a high school teacher at Holy Cross, Tom Bauer, who steered me toward broadcasting. l got my first job in radio in Hammonton at the age of 18. I did every job you could do at my first couple of radio gigs, from play-by-play high school sports to news to music director to producing commercials and even sales. Fortunately, I found my way to the stage and have done stand-up for many years, even opening for Jerry Seinfeld in Philadelphia just before his hit TV show premiered. I almost quit radio in the early nineties after losing a job as a morning show host in Philly. Luckily New Jersey 101.5 kept calling me to come work here. I reluctantly came in one day to do a shift and I've never looked back. The opportunity to connect with people all over the state on every level from politics to family life to pop culture and do it in a comedic way was custom made for me. The station management paired me with Judi in 1997 and the chemistry and close friendship was immediate. It was the kind of 'lightning in a bottle' chemistry that broadcasting managers dream of concocting. We love what we do on the air and off the air we both are extremely dedicated to our families and children. Off the air I love to fish, golf, garden, cooking, hiking, and building crazy things like my motorized floating dock. I love spending time with my family and a few close friends and nothing gives me more pleasure than cooking a great meal for the people in my life. If I could do anything else but radio, it would be to open an agritourism (bed and breakfast) in Italy to cook for and host American tourists. After years of studying my Italian is pretty acceptable and I still study every week. That doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon, so New Jersey may be stuck with me for a while. I feel very fortunate to be in the position that I am, working with some of the most talented people in communications and hanging out every day with the best people anywhere, the listeners to New Jersey 101.5.
