An Asbury Park man is sentenced to 12-years in prison for a March 2013 murder, announced the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office.

Dominique Moore, 25, plead guilty back in January to first degree Aggravated Manslaughter for the murder of 23-year old Daniel Graves of Asbury Park who he pulled the trigger on and killed with a 9-mm handgun he later admitted to having in his possession.

Graves, died about 37-minutes after being shot multiple times at 8:57 pm on January 10, 2013 at the corner of Bangs and Dewitt Avenues.

He had just left a pizzeria followed by a small group of people before he was killed.

Moore booked it after shooting Graves.

Police found Graves lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

A motive for the shooting is unknown.

On the first degree Aggravated Manslaughter charge, Monmouth County Superior Court Judge David F. Bauman, P.J.Cr., sentenced Moore to 12 years in state prison, which makes him subject to the provisions of the No Early Release Act (NERA).

Moore must serve 85 percent of the sentence before he's eligible for release on parole.

Once released, he'll be on parole supervision for five years.

His guilty plea is the result of a 4-year joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Asbury Park Police Department.

The case was prosecuted by Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutors Meghan Doyle and Emily Cartmell.

Moore is represented by Mark Bailey of Newark.
