Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni also announced that Sudan Harris, 30, has been charged with second degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of weapon.

A joint investigation between the MCPO and APPD began after the arrival of Asbury Park Police that day around 1:12 pm and they later identified Harris as the shooter.

The United States Marshals Regional Task Force, the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, and Asbury Park Police Department all teamed up to arrest Harris and transport him to the Monmouth County Corrections Institution where he remains awaiting his First Appearance and Detention Hearing.
