Appliance retailer HHGregg closing stores in South Jersey

Three New Jersey stores are among the 88 that electronics and appliance retailer HHGregg has announced it will close as part of its plan to stem losses and boost profits.
The company will lose 1,500 jobs.
"We are strategically exiting markets and stores that are not financially profitable for us," the company's president and CEO said Robert J. Riesbeck said Thursday.
In New Jersey, the company is closing stores in Moorestown, the Mays Landing section of Hamilton, and Deptford.
The company is the latest national retailer to announce store closings in the Garden State, following Macy's, Toys 'R' Us, JCPenney, Joyce Leslie, Kmart and more.
The stores are expected to close before the end of April.
