A Look at New Medical Construction In Lakewood, New Jersey

While recently traveling through northern Ocean County, I noticed new construction along Route 9 in Lakewood. Looks like “medical” construction and a new project entitled Chemed South.

Now according to a Lakewood News Network article, this is not brand new construction…but it is new to me. This is the first time I spotted this work and wanted to give you some background on it.

In the LNN post, this new project “Chemed South” will benefit residents in the southern section of Lakewood. From the photos I took it appears they will serve radiology, behavioral health, fast track, dental, pediatrics, internal medicine etc.

According to the LNN article it should be about a year in construction and will provide more than 30 examining rooms. This site will help residents in the southern section of Lakewood by saving them from having to travel to their busy northern campus.

The new southern campus will provide about 53 parking spaces for the newest location.

The new Chemed South campus is located at 1171 River Avenue located between Super Stop and the Chestnut corner Route 9 strip mall.

If you live in the area, what do you think of this new medical construction. Looks to be a good service for this section of Lakewood. There is always a growing need for “medical” utilities and this project seems to cover many including Women’s Health.
