So a few different things to throw at you today:

I struggle with decisions when it comes to accepting friends I don’t know on Facebook as well as those who want to be connected via LinkedIn.  I just don’t know what the proper etiquette is when it comes to these two social networking platforms.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be ignored if I was on the other end but yet with all that’s happening in the world today do you really want more friends or connections just for the sake of a bigger base?

I had the TV on for most of the day in my office Tuesday and tried to pay attention to Robert Mueller’s testimony before a pair of committees on Capitol Hill but it was not easy.  Especially in the morning the former special counsel was shaky at best, seemed confused at times and did not provide any real new information that was headline-grabbing.

In what is indicative of the times we live in both Republicans and Democrats came away feeling like Mueller’s testimony was good for their points of view.  It’s amazing how a group of people only hear what they want to hear based on their party affiliation. It’s also why our politics are a mess.

It’s a homecoming this week for former Toms River North baseball standout Ron Marinaccio who is now a member of the Charleston RiverDogs, the Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees.  The 24-year old is a relief pitcher with the team who finishes up a three-game series in Lakewood tonight.

Marinaccio pitched two-thirds of an inning Monday night in what was his 10th appearance of the season after spending some time on the injured list.  The right-hander played at the University of Delaware after graduating from TR North before being drafted by the Yankees in 2017 and beginning his pro career.

Just want to remind you fans of the Hallmark Channel that “Christmas in July” continues through this Sunday.  For the past couple of weeks the network has been airing many of their favorite Christmas movies which even on a hot day will cool you off. I mean who doesn’t want to see more of Candace Cameron Bure?

I know you had enough of anniversary talk this week but how can I not end with thanking my wife Jane for 38 years in which I clearly have gotten the better part of the deal.  That’s not an opinion that’s a fact!
