289 Bags of Heroin Seized in Little Egg Harbor

LITTLE EGG HARBOR —Police in Little Egg Harbor carried out a court-authorized search warrant on a residence in the township and seized a plethora of heroin bags and currency.

On Friday, July 26th, officers executed the warrant at 238 South Pulaski Boulevard and seized 289 bags of heroin and several hundred dollars in cash.

Two residents were inside the home during the search. John J. Egnatowicz, 46, and Todd C. Doughty, 18, were both taken into custody and charged accordingly.

Egnatowicz is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute. Doughty was issued a summons for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and released pending a court date in the future.

CHARGES ARE MERELY ACCUSATIONS. ALL SUSPECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
