It's one down, three to go for Knox, who started off his much-hyped high school career by going 33-1 and winning the NJSIAA 113-pound state title. Knox was undefeated in New Jersey with his only loss coming in the Escape the Rock final to Delaware Valley's (Pa.) Zachary Jacaruso, who went on to win the Pennsylvania AAA 113-pound state title. Knox defeated Delbarton's Daniel Jones 5-1 in the state semifinals and then won 7-2 over Eastern's Jared Brunner to win the state championship. He also won the Sam Cali Tournament, a District 17 title, and a Region 5 championship. Knox has put himself in a position to accomplish his goal of being a four-time state champion and should be a favorite to do so over the next three years.

With a dramatic takedown and back points in the closing seconds, Tallmadge defeated Roxbury's Luke Stanich, 7-3, to claim the NJSIAA 120-pound state title and become a two-time state champion. His senior season wasn't without a blemish like his junior campaign, but Tallmadge (34-3) wrestled his best on the sport's biggest stage yet again to join Nick Angen as the Mustangs' only two-time state champions in program history. After losing to CBA's Alex Nini in tiebreaker in the Region 6 final, Tallmadge avenged that loss with a 7-2 victory over Nini in the state semifinals. Tallmadge was also first at the Mustang Classic and won a District 23 title. He was also a major reason why Brick Memorial was able to win the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 4 sectional title and reach the Group 4 state championship match. Tallmadge finished his career with 122 wins, three district titles, two region titles, and three total state medals. He will continue his career at the United States Naval Academy.
