Winter will last one more day for Yankees fans as the team postpones its season opener at Yankee Stadium until Tuesday.

The team announced the postponement of the rematch of last year's American League wildcard playoff game due to the rain expected to develop on Monday afternoon. Masahiro Tanaka will still make the start against Houston's Dallas Keuchel.

The game will be played Tuesday afternoon at 1:05 p.m.

"Quiet weather is expected for Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine. Although it might feel more like football weather than baseball weather, with high temperatures only in the lower 40s and a brisk wind," meteorologist Dan Zarrow said.
